Negative externalities: cracked tooth from grinding my teeth -- it had to be extracted.
Positive externalities: learned how to prepare a Power Point presentation; had great partners to work with this semester, who are now my friends; great class to work with, too; I'm so tired now, I don't remember any negative externalities other than my missing tooth. I miss that doggone tooth! The icing on the cake externality -- graduation on Friday! Yeah!!!
I'm not sure what the externality is since I couldn't be there for the last day of class :( but I'm going to take Clara's example.
Negative externalities: hurt my arm/shoulder in the last month of the semester and the messed me up. Boo! And I'm sad that I couldn't come to the party because of it but I'll be emailing everyone so we can stay in touch.
Positive externalities: I learned how to do more fancy things with Power Point, like inserting Venn Diagrams. That seems useful. And I discovered that YES, I can write a 36 page paper. It's probably the longest I've ever written in my life.
I also am gratful for the people I met in this program ... especially a shout-out to Naomi, I wish I could have seen her presentation because it sounded fascinating.
